If you see stock or wild animals near the road while travelling in your campervan, slow down. Unfenced stock and wild animals have a habit of crossing the road in front of you at the last minute. Ensure you keep an eye out for them, especially one hour either side of sunrise and sunset.
Once you leave built up areas, often you’ll see kangaroos and wallabies – apart from potentially killing or injuring these creatures, they’ll also do damage to your campervan. They often sit on the grass verges enjoying the sweet grass, so keep a look out. There’s also plenty of other types of wildlife often seen near the road like snakes, birds (such as eagles, emus and cassowaries) and echidna’s just to name a few.
