Apollo Euro Plus

Apollo rentals require a bond. A credit card can only be used to provide the bond, and the credit card holder must be present on pick up as they are jointly liable.

The standard liability and refundable Bond is AU$5,000 for the smaller campervans (i.e. Hi-Tops and Endeavour Camper); and $7,500 for the remaining 2WD motorhomes (with toilet and shower on board) and AU$8,000 for the 4WD campers. This is charged to the hirer’s credit card when picking up the vehicle. This is a fairly standard rate for the entire motorhome hire industry. Apollo understands that this may be a lot of money, so they offer liability reduction options to reduce the bond and your liability in the event of an incident. Please see terms and conditions for exclusions.

Liability Reduction Option 1 (The Middle Road):
Liability/Bond reduced to AU$2,500. At a charge of AU$38 per day for 2WD campers and motorhomes and AU$41 per day for 4WD vehicles.  Max charge is 50 days with the remaining days covered for free.

Liability Reduction Option 2 (The High Road):
Liability/Bond reduced to AU$0/$250. At a charge of AU$45 per day for 2WD campers and motorhomes and AU$47 per day for 4WD vehicles (bond is AU$500 with the 4WD vehicles). Please note that the High Road cover is not as comprehensive as some of the other options available. For example, when reducing your liability, overhead and underbody damage is excluded. Please note that the liability reduction option excludes cover for tyre and windscreens. You will either need to take the value pack shown below, or you can choose to add tyre and windscreen cover as an extra.

Value Pack:
Liability/Bond reduced to AU$0 at a charge of AU$58.75 per day for 2WD vehicles and AU$65 per day for 4WD’s.

Apollo 2WD Value Pack Includes:
Liability Option Two (High Road), LP gas refill fee, camp chairs and table and baby/booster seat (on request; not able to be fitted to all vehicle types). The liability reduction includes unlimited windscreen and tyre accidental damage, undercarriage/overhead damage (covered for accidental damage). The value pack also include single vehicle roll over cover and 3 x toilet chemicals (if required) for 2WD campers.

Apollo 4WD Value Pack Includes:
Liability Option Two (High Road), LP Gas refill fee, camp chairs and table, and baby/booster seats (with prior request).

We strongly recommend taking the 4WD Additional cover – this can only be added in conjunction with either the Liability Reduction Two (High Road) or the Apollo Value Pack for peace of mind travel.

4WD Additional Cover:
This additional cover for AU$299 is available when either Liability Reduction Option 2 or the Apollo Value Pack have been purchased. Coverage with this offer will protect the renter for:

• Accidental damage to the overhead and under body sections of the 4WD campervan
• Unlimited tyre and windscreen cover
• Damage to the awning
• Unlimited Kilometres
• Nil Liability (AU$500 bond) – included with the High Road / Value Pack
• Towing and vehicle recovery costs from 4WD roads where permission from Apollo to travel on these roads had been granted
• Single vehicle rollover

Please note the 4WD Additional cover protection does not cover bogged RV’s.

Extra Driver Fees:
Extra drivers are included in the standard rates.

One-Way Fees:
The one-way fee is $165 for all one-way rentals when the pick-up and drop off depot differ. This cost will be included in the quote we provide to you. Please note, for many popular travel routes in Australia, a one-way trip is the best option and there are minimum booking periods for one way hires – ask us for more details on this.

Kilometres:
2WD campers have unlimited kilometres included in the standard rates.
Apollo 4WD rates include 300 kilometres per day however should a little more adventure be needed, 500 kilometre packages are available before or at time of pick-up for an additional cost, otherwise unlimited kilometres are included in the 4WD Additional Cover pack. Any excess kilometres will be charged at $0.40 per kilometre if the unlimited kilometres are not included in your package or you go over your allocated allowable kilometres for the duration of your hire.
